Teal Newland
Teal Newland is senior vice president, marketing and new platforms, Condé Nast Entertainment (CNE), an award-winning next generation studio and distribution network with entertainment content across film, television, premium digital video, social, and virtual reality. She reports to Oren Katzeff, president, CNE.
Newland oversees marketing for CNE, video operations and distribution, as well as the scheduling team. In addition, she manages the development of original programming for new platforms, including social, mobile, and 360/VR. She also started the social studio team, an internal social creative agency that serves as a cross-brand resource.
Newland joined CNE from StumbleUpon’s executive team, where she lead consumer and trade marketing, revenue and advertising solutions, and media partnerships. Prior to StumbleUpon she was a vice president/group director at DigitasLBi (Publicis Groupe), a full service advertising agency, working across all agency clients, including American Express, Delta Airlines, Intel, and Samsung, in developing global content and media strategy, audience engagement initiatives, and social activation platforms. Previously Newland consulted for entertainment companies, including The Walt Disney Company, and spent over six years with Microsoft in a global revenue and media innovation capacity on both their U.S. and European teams.
Newland has a BA in Political Science from University of Washington.
