Robbie Brenner
As Executive Producer of Mattel Films, Robbie Brenner is responsible for transforming Mattel’s iconic portfolio of brands into cinematic experiences that delight audiences around the world. The Academy Award®-nominated producer of Dallas Buyers Club assumed leadership of the new film division in September 2018. Robbie has set up eight films at major studios, including Barbie starring Margot Robbie, Masters of the Universe with Noah Centineo, and Magic 8 Ball with producer Jason Blum. Prior to joining Mattel, Robbie served as the President of Production at Relativity Media, where she played a pivotal role in the studio’s acquisition of the Sundance documentary Catfish, acquired Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut, Don Jon, and championed the release of The Fighter, which won two Academy Awards® and received a total of seven Academy Award nominations, including a nomination for Best Picture. Before joining Relativity, Robbie ran the classics division at Davis Entertainment. From 2005 to 2006, Robbie served as Senior Vice President of Production at Twentieth Century Fox, acquiring and developing movies for the studio. Prior to Twentieth Century Fox, she spent nine years as a production and development executive at Miramax Films ultimately serving as Senior Vice President. In 2015, Robbie joined the executive branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts. Robbie is a film graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
