Maryann Brandon

Maryann Brandon, ACE graduated from the prestigious NYU film school and began her career working on independent films and television series. Early on she landed a job with then up-and-coming writer/producer JJ Abrams for his new series “Alias.” Maryann has since edited all of Abrams’ features, including “Mission Impossible III,” “Super 8,” “Star Trek,” “Star Trek Into Darkness,” and “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens,” the last of which grossed $2 billion in worldwide receipts and earned Maryann her first Oscar nomination. Other notable credits include “Grumpier Old Men,” “The Jane Austen Book,” “How to Train Your Dragon,” A Thousand Acres,” “Endless Love” and “Kung Fu Panda.” She received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for “Alias” and three ACE Award nominations. Currently, Brandon is back at it with Abrams, working away on Star Wars: Episode IX, The Rise of Skywalker, the highly anticipated conclusion of the latest trilogy, set for wide theatrical release December 20, 2019.
