Madelyn Deutch
Actor, writer, director, musician/composer Madelyn Deutch is taking Hollywood by storm. Madelyn stars and makes her screenwriting debut as Izzy Klein in the dynamic, female-driven The Year of Spectacular Men, which opened on June 15th. This family tour de force is directed and produced by her real life mom, Lea Thompson. Thompson co-stars, along with Madelyn’s real life sister, Zoey Deutch, who also serves as producer and co-stars Jesse Bradford, Nicholas Braun, Brandon T. Jackson, Cameron Monaghan, Melissa Bolona and Avan Jogia. Along with writing and starring in the film, Madelyn also scored it and created a few original tracks for the soundtrack.
A native Angeleno, Madelyn attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Performing Arts before graduating with honors from the prestigious New School for Jazz and Contemporary music. She is the winner of the esteemed Silver Award from the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts, and the Outstanding Soloist Awards from Downbeat magazine. She has composed original pieces for several films and soundtracks.
