Two-time Academy Award-winning Sound Editor

Karen Baker Landers

The first and only woman to win two Oscars for Sound Editing, Karen Baker Landers was selected for Variety’s “Women’s Impact List” in 2008 and 2013. Her filmography includes nearly 100 projects including the original Bourne trilogy, the James Bond films “Skyfall” and “Spectre,” as well as films like “Gladiator,” “Ray,” “Braveheart,” “Seabiscuit,” “Black Hawk Down” and “The Patriot.” Karen met her professional partner of 30 years, Per Hallberg, when they were assistant sound editors. Together they won the Oscar for Best Achievement in Sound Editing for “Skyfall” in 2012 and for “The Bourne Ultimatum” in 2008. Karen has also received six MPSE Golden Reel Awards and two BAFTA Awards.
