Executive Producer, "The Walking Dead"
Gale Anne Hurd
After working in various capacities for legendary producer Roger Corman, Gale Anne Hurd co-wrote and produced her first film, THE TERMINATOR, followed by ALIENS, THE ABYSS, TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY, THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS, ARMAGEDDON, THE WATERDANCE, which won Sundance’s Audience and Screenplay Awards, and MANKILLER, the award-winning Native American PBS documentary, among many other indie darlings and box office hits.
In television, she is an Executive Producer of AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD and FEAR THE WALKING DEAD. She also serves as a Consulting Producer on TALKING DEAD. In addition, a third ‘Walking Dead’ series has been announced and will air on AMC in 2020. Her other recent Executive Producer credits include two seasons of LORE for Amazon, two seasons of FALLING WATER for the USA Network and HUNTERS for Syfy.
A long time former Board Member and Officer of the Producers Guild of America, Hurd received the organization’s coveted David O. Selznick Award for Achievement in Feature Film. She has served as a Governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and on the Boards of the American Film Institute, the Waterkeeper Alliance and the Ocean Conservancy. In 2014, Hurd was inducted into the International Women’s Forum Hall of Fame, which features such honorees as Rosa Parks, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Audrey Hepburn. And in 2012, Gale received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
