D.J. Kami

Japanese American artist D.J. Kami creates miniature characters juxtaposed with words, and objects to create stories and statements about life with a twist of humor. As she covers emotional and social issues, she feels most passionate about revealing a sense of humor in most of her work.

D.J. has enjoyed a lifelong passion for art. Though she began as a set decorator and interior designer she found herself drawn to the arts. More specifically, to the miniature world of creating diorama-like scenes that explore human nature.

D.J. lives in Hollywood with her daughter, Charlie.
