Carly Craig
Currently, Carly is co-creator and star of YouTube Premium’s “Sideswiped” and recurring on ABC’s “American Housewife” as Katy Otto’s nemesis, Tara Summers. Though she studied drama for years at The Stella Adler Academy, a conversation with Dan Ackroyd would change her life when he suggested she study at Second City, where she later graduated. She met famed manager Bernie Brillstein while waiting tables and decided to put on a comedy show with her classmates. Bernie came to that show and soon after, signed her as a client. Before long, Director David Wain cast her in “Role Models,” and the Farrelly Brothers cast her in “The Heartbreak Kid,” “Hall Pass,” “The Three Stooges” and “Dumb and Dumber To.” She also starred in “Live at the Foxes Den,” “Flock of Dudes,” “Paranormal Movie” and many more. On TV, she’s been in Stephen Merchant’s “Hello Ladies” on HBO, “Childrens Hospital,” “Burning Love,” “Cougar Town,” “Newsreaders,” and “Crossroads of History.”
Other projects include Mike Leigh’s critically-lauded live show “Ecstasy,” Neil LaBute’s “Bash,” independent feature lm “Star Sucker” with Tom Arnold, and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf,” which was directed by Oscar nominee Mark Ruffalo.
Carly was a “Vanities Girl” for the April 2011 edition of “Vanity Fair” where she follows many young ingénues like Kristen Bell, Leslie Mann and Mila Kunis, and was also in the Maxim Hot 100, and Esquire’s “Me in my Place” article.
