Cari Champion

Cari Champion is the co-anchor of SportsCenter Coast-to-Coast with David Lloyd. Champion hosts from ESPN’s Los Angeles Production Center and Lloyd from ESPN HQ in Connecticut.

In addition to her role on SportsCenter, Champion hosts a weekly podcast in with espnW, Be Honest with Cari Champion, where she takes an honest look at the world of sports and pop culture with the help of outspoken guests.

Before joining SportsCenter in 2015, Champion also served host of ESPN2’s First Take, where she shared the debate table with featured commentators Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith and moderated their debate topics while offering her perspective and insight.

Champion also hosted the former ESPN program SportsNation in 2018.

Before her time at ESPN, Champion was an anchor and courtside reporter at the Tennis Channel. Additionally, she served as an entertainment/lifestyle reporter doing features for The Insider, Hollywood 411 and Starz Entertainment.

As a broadcast journalist and host, Champion also worked across the country covering network news, entertainment, and sports stories of national interest for ABC, CBS, NBC and other cable networks. A native of Southern California, Champion graduated from UCLA.
