Beatriz Acevedo
Beatriz Acevedo is a digital pioneer and veteran TV Producer with more than 20 years of entertainment experience, having created, developed and produced hundreds of original, primetime television shows and award-winning digital series in multiple languages. Her agnostic approach to both traditional and digital content creation has earned her three Emmy Awards, an MTV Award, two Streamy Awards and a Media Correspondent Award among others. She has also developed and produced branded content and campaigns targeting millennial youth for numerous blue chip brands.
Beatriz has dedicated her life’s work to creating opportunities for diverse youth in an effort to empower their voices and influence culturally relevant depictions of Latinos in media.
In 2012 she co-founded mitú, the leading digital media brand and emerging voice of young Latinos in the U.S. that delivers mainstream media with a Latino POV. At mitú, she created the “mitú Accelerator,” a mentorship initiative that provides access to the next generation of multi-cultural storytellers.
Beatriz is a passionate speaker who enjoys insightful discussions around diversity as good ROI, female empowerment and the future impact of multicultural youth on America.
She is the President of her family’s Mexico based foundation “Fundación Acevedo”, which for the past 30 years has provided scholarships for students that lack the financial means to pursue a higher education. The Acevedo Foundation also supports numerous cultural and arts programs throughout Mexico.
Beatriz resides in Santa Monica, CA alongside husband and mitú co-founder Doug Greiff. Both are proud parents to bicultural and bilingual twins Isabela and Diego.
