Jenna Dewan
Noted as one of the most accomplished dancers, actress, author and host – Jenna Dewan has become one of the most recognizable multi-hyphenate artists in the entertainment industry. Her ability to successfully transition among her crafts has earned her the opportunity to work alongside some of the world’s leading entertainers including Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez and more. From touring with global artists to starring in a major Netflix series, Jenna certainly has the ball in her court.
On October 22nd, Jenna’s first book will be released by Simon and Schuster, GRACEFULLY YOU. In Gracefully You, Jenna shares her personal journey to overcoming negativity and shares her secrets for cultivating happiness + peace in every aspect of your life. Filled with gorgeous photos, Jenna demonstrates how movement is essential to both physical + mental health, shares stirring mantras that will help you begin each day with good intentions, shows you how to create a home sanctuary full of things that inspire and move you, how to nourish your body with good food choices, and how to enrich your soul with self-care and meditation. She will also share how she fosters and maintains healthy relationships in motherhood, friendship, and everyday life, while maintaining her own identity and personal grounding.
This Winter will bring Jenna to the small screen on a new scripted musical drama television series for Netflix, titled SOUNDTRACK. The romantic musical drama that looks at the love stories connecting a diverse, disparate group of people in contemporary Los Angeles through the music that lives inside their hearts and minds.
She was most recently starred in Lakeshore Entertainment’s THE WEDDING YEAR alongside Sarah Hyland, Anna Camp, and Wanda Sykes. Additionally, she can be seen in the anthology film Berlin, I Love You with notable talent Keira Knightly, Helen Mirren and Luke Wilson, the latest feature in the Cities of Love series launch by Emmanuel Benbihy, in FOX’s medical TV drama, THE RESIDENT where she plays Julian Lynn. Sharp and sophisticated, Julian is a medical device rep with an ability to connect with just about anybody, and as the host of NBC’s non-scripted competition series World of Dance. Noted as one of the most accomplished dancers of her generation, Jenna provided incredible insight for the unparalleled dance competition that featured solo artists competing against duos and crews in all genres of dance, including hip hop, krumping, popping, locking, tap, ballet, break dancing, ballroom, clogging, stomping and so much more
Her other television credits include CBS’ superhero drama SUPERGIRL based on the DC comic book series, as Lucy Lane- a brash, funny and beautiful older sister to Lois Lane. The series also stars Melissa Benoist & Calista Flockhart. Jenna also starred in the Lifetime drama series, WITCHES OF EAST END, based on Melissa de la Cruz’s best-selling novel and starred opposite Julia Ormond and Rachel Boston. Prior to that, Jenna appeared in Ryan Murphy’s popular FX mini-series AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM, starring opposite Adam Levine, Jessica Lange and Zachary Quinto.
Jenna first captivated audiences on screen as the lead in the hit Disney film, STEP UP, showcasing her incredible talent not only as an actress but as a dancer. She went on star as one of the leads in the Lionsgate film SETUP opposite Bruce Willis and 50 Cent and the Anchor Bay film 10 YEARS, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2011, with an ensemble cast that included Anthony Mackie, Justin Long and Kate Mara. Her other film credits include AMERICAN VIRGIN, THE SIX WIVES OF HENRY LEFAY with Tim Allen, New Line Cinema’s TAKE THE LEAD opposite Antonio Banderas and THE LEGEND OF HELL’s GATE.
In addition to a thriving acting and dancing career, Jenna founded Everheart Productions in June 2017 with a focus on producing female-centric stories for film, television and digital platforms. Everheart has a first-look deal with Universal Television. Everheart is developing film and television projects at UTV, Warner Bros. with Ellen DeGeneres, WBTV, Hulu, and Fullscreen. Additionally, Jenna is the co-creator of 33andOut Productions which has produced the films 22 JUMP STREET, 10 YEARS and the documentary EARTH MADE OF GLASS that follows Rwandan President Paul Kagame and genocide survivor Jean-Pierre Sagahutu. The film premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival.
Jenna is also an advocate of animals’ rights, supporting the efforts of numerous philanthropic organizations including PETA and Southern California’s The Gentle Barn.
